VIRU SELECTED AS FIELD GLOBAL PARTNER FOR HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL
Viru recently had the opportunity to host a team of students from Harvard Business School in Lima for one week as part of a required first-year course at Harvard Business School called the FIELD Global Immersion. Viru was one of 157 FIELD Global Partners spanning 13 countries around the world. Together these Global Partners combined to host more than 920 Harvard Business School students in all. "We are pleased to be working with Harvard Business School to provide students with a real-world learning experience in Peru” said the General Manager, Yoselyn Malamud. “We feel certain that the students were able to gather insights here that they would never be able to glean from a classroom discussion alone." The FIELD Global Immersion is a course designed to strengthen and develop students’ global intelligence – their ability to manage and operate effectively across cultures and business contexts. Viru executives had been working with the team remotely in the months leading up to their arrival in country. While here, the students pitched their ideas to the leadership team, conducted field research with consumers around Lima and presented their final recommendations to management. The purpose of this immersive experience is to provide students with the opportunity to do real fieldwork in an unfamiliar context. Harvard is quick to acknowledge that this important learning experience would not be possible without the Global Partners. "We are extremely grateful to Viru and all the FIELD Global Partner organizations for all they do on behalf of our students," said Professor Juan Alcacer, the faculty head of FIELD. "The students benefit immeasurably from this experience and we hope the partner organizations do as well."

Viru is recognized as "Exporter of year 2017"
Virú S.A. has been recognized as "Exporter of the Year 2017" in the category of Non-Traditional Exporter. This award was granted by the Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry, and the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism - PROMPERÚ. Recently, PROMPERU held a ceremony to recognize the leading companies in exports, this event took place on Tuesday, March 13th, 2018.

Quinoa Mix de Virú indiscutible ganador del Premio Creatividad Empresarial
Sociedad Agrícola Virú, agroindustrial líder en producción de conservas vegetales, es la primera empresa del sector en obtener tres galardones en el Premio a la Creatividad Empresarial 2015, organizado por la Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas UPC.

Sociedad Agrícola Virú obtuvo la distinción central de la noche obteniendo el “Premio Especial Mediana Empresa 2015”, destacando por sus innovaciones y el valor agregado de sus productos que impactan de manera positiva en sus consumidores y clientes.
Además, fue reconocida en 2 categorías “Impacto Internacional” y “Productos Alimenticios y Nutricionales” con el producto Quinoa Mix, destacando su practicidad y alto nivel nutricional, que ha ingresado a las cadenas de supermercados más grandes del mundo en los Estados Unidos y Europa.
Este reconocimiento ubica a Sociedad Agrícola Virú como una empresa peruana pionera, elevando la calidad de trabajo y su compromiso en los más altos estándares internacionales.
